Virender Sehwag named Delhi captain for Ranji Trophy

Virender Sehwag Indian opening batsman has been named the captain of Delhi Ranji Trophy squad for the season 2012-13. Sehwag, who recently gave up Delhi Daredevils leadership for Champions League Twenty20, will have Gautam Gambhir as his deputy.

Delhi have announced a list of 35 probables. Delhi and Districket Cricket Association (DDCA) met on Friday and announced the list. The squad has been asked by selectors to report at Feroze Shah Kotla Stadium on Monday, September 24.

India’s cricket star Virat Kohli is also part of the squad. Delhi’s first Ranji Trophy game this season is against Uttar Pradesh on November 2.
