Sri Lanka Premier League Fixtures
SLPL T20 2012 | Sri Lanka Premier League 2012 season will be the debut edition of the Sri Lanka Premier League, established by Sri Lanka Cricket in 2011. The season will run from 10 August to 31 August 2012.
The tournament has a group stage and a knockout stage. The seven teams play a single round-robin tournament in the group stage and the top four teams qualify for the semi-finals. The winners of the semi-finals play the final. All of the matches in the tournament will be played at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, Kandy and R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo.
The first edition of SLPL Twenty20 will feature 7 Provincial teams which will adhere to a compulsory ruling of no more than 6 overseas players in each squad. However, it will be mandatory for each team to field only 4 overseas players in the playing eleven, whilst the remaining 7 players will all be Sri Lankans, with one player out of the said seven players will be an under-21 cricketer.
