ICC announced New Zealand tour of India schedule 2012 in ICC Future tour Program. New Zealand vs India 2012 cricket series organized by BCCI (Board of Cricket Control in India) and India approved this series.
New Zealand will play 2 Test matches and 2 Twenty20 Internationals (T20′s) in India as part of their preparations for the ICC World T20 in September in Sri Lanka. The series will start with a Test match on 23 August 2012 and will end with a T20 on 11 September 2012. The series will be an international bilateral series organized by India and will carry out 2 Test Matches and 2 T20 Matches hosted by India.
