India tour of Sri Lanka 2012
Sri Lanka cricket has officially announced the India tour of Sri Lanka 2012 for the upcoming One-Day International series and the one-off Twenty20 match. In Micromax Cup 2012 all the matches have been backed up by reserve days, owing to the varying weather conditions in Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka cricket announced the itinerary of India tour of Sri Lanka 2012. The Indian team arrives on Wednesday, 18th July and play their first match on 21st at Hambantota. The only T20 of the series will be played in Pallekele on 7th August, with a rain reserve day on 8th.

Despite being the finalists of last World Cup, both these teams failed to reach the finals of recently concluded edition of Asia Cup. World Cup-winning captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni believes India’s limited-overs tour of Sri Lanka will help his team prepare for the World Twenty20 in the same country in September-October.
