India opener Virender Sehwag faces surgery on shoulder injury and is doubt for England Test series
Virender Sehwag appears to be a doubt for India’s tour of England after being ruled out for the remainder of the IPL season.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India confirmed only his absence from the domestic Twenty20 tournament, but his IPL team, the Delhi Daredevils, suggested the 32 year-old will undergo surgery which could hamper his participation in England.
“Sehwag’s injured shoulder is definitely a concern for everyone,” B Vanchi, director of GMR Sports – owners of the Daredevils – told the Times of India.
“The BCCI has decided that it needs surgery immediately and are making arrangements for him to travel to London.”
