Dravid set to retire from T20s and ODIs

Rahul Dravid, who was recalled to the Indian squad for the upcoming T20 and ODI series against England, will retire from both format once the series is over.

But, by the end of the day, it turned out to be an anti-climax, if not a farce.

Dravid, addressing the media, said that the recall had taken him by total surprise. “I was not considered for one-dayers for two years. So, I was not expecting this. This has come as a surprise. I am honoured and privileged to be chosen,” he said, politically correct as always.

He went on to add that he would do his best under the circumstances but his body language suggested that there was more to it. Maybe, he wasn’t up to it. In fact, he showed the BCCI and its selectors in a totally poor and unprofessional light by saying that this would be his last one-day series.
