Ashraf officially appointed as PCB chief
The Pakistan government late on Thursday finally issued the notification confirming the appointment of Chaudhary Zaka Ashraf as the new chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board.
But in an interesting development the notification issued by the Presidency confirmed that Zaka Ashraf would no longer work as Chairman of the Zarai Taraqyati Bank and would concentrate totally on his new role as cricket chief.
The spokesperson for the Presidency, Farhatullah Babar said that the appointment will take effect from the date that Zaka Ashraf relinquishes charge of the ZTBL.
Asked about the term of the new board Chairman, Babar said he would continue serving until further orders.
